Cancellation Policy

Special COVID-19 Terms (March 10, 2020)

Increased flexibility & updated terms for travel in 2022

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, it has been necessary to restructure our cancellation policy with flexible and necessary changes to our trips and to the booking conditions that apply to all Outback Horizons tours scheduled to depart in 2021.

You may reschedule your booking for an alternative departure date at no cost. If you are unsure of when you can travel, we can provide you with a credit. Changes and credits can be used for travel on any Outback Horizons tour until the 31st December 2023. Please notify us at least 14 days prior to your departure date. Any money you have paid for an existing booking, be it a deposit or full amount, will be applied to the new tour or credit. Changes within 14 day will still incur a fee of 100% of the tour fee.

If we need to cancel a departure, you can then either amend your booking to another departure or receive a travel credit with us to the value of 110% of the value of your original booking. This travel credit can be applied to any Outback Horizons tour taken before 31 December 2023.

COVID 19 Vaccination Restrictions

The customer shall comply with all Government (Federal and State) COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements for entry into Western Australia or to access the operator’s premises, event or service. Where the customer does not meet a vaccination or testing requirement:

(a) prior to departure from the customer’s home location, the customer will forfeit any and all monies paid; or

(b) for access to the tour service, the customer will not be granted entry and will forfeit any and all monies paid.

Where the customer cancels due to travel restrictions other than vaccination or testing requirements, the customer will be contacted and offered a credit note (to be used at a later time), where such an offer is at the absolute discretion of the operator. The operator reserves the right to withhold some monies to cover administrative expenses and other losses, dependent on when notice of cancellation is given by the customer.

Standard Cancellation Policy:

If the customer cancels their tour booking the following fees apply:

  • A cancellation of 100 days or more will incur total loss of deposit.
  • A cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the tour cost if the customer cancels less than 99 days and more than 61 days from the departure date.
  • A cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of the tour cost if the customer cancels less than 60 days from the departure date.
  • All cancellations must be received in writing by Outback Horizons and are not effective until this notification has been received. The above cancellation fees are charged at the proprietor’s absolute discretion and can be waived in special circumstances subject to proprietor’s discretion.

No refund will be given if you fail to join the tour or if you choose to leave the tour (for whatever reason) before the tour scheduled completion except with proprietor’s written agreement.
